I just came across your work and love it! Can you explain what kind of style you are?
Our style is often considered modern and bold, yet still timeless. We first approach with a candid, real time, photojournalistic vision, and let the events unfold as they happen. Capturing those beautiful or unexpected moments is our first priority.
As your wedding progresses, we also love to focus on something that we call environmental portraits. Sometimes referred to as Bride & Groom photos, we incorporate you both into the incredible setting or background. These signature images, which involve careful timing, posing, and innovating lighting techniques, become iconic works of art that stand out from typical wedding images. The ultimate presentation of our captivating images is when they’re printed on one of our remarkable, leather-bound albums.
How much time do you prefer for these Bride & Groom photos?
We always encourage at least 45 minutes dedicated to capturing you both during your wedding. This is the portion of your day when you can briefly branch off, away from the guests, and truly enjoy your time together while having fun as our rockstar models. Ideally, the best time is the 1 or 2 hours before sunset.
What makes your photos pop? I want to know more!
A combination of Canons highest grade camera bodies and lenses is always good start. However your gravitation to our images is more about getting to know you, and implementing a technical and conceptual vision of light, space, and time.
How do you do you editing?
Our photography does not go through a common and standard editing process. Each image is individually adjusted in house for optimal color, clarity, and composition. We make you look your best.
I’ve heard many photographers outsource their editing. Do you?
No way! We do not put our quality in someone else’s hands. We never outsource any editing or post production work, this includes both image editing and album design.
When do I get to see my photographs?
Our agreement states 5-7 weeks until all your images are available online, however we often are completed within 3-4 weeks. Since 2010 we have only accepted a limited number of weddings each year to ensure the absolute highest quality and attention to detail is maintained each month. In the mean time, we often post “preview” images on our blog or Facebook page. For engagement sessions, photos are made available and delivered even quicker, typically in just 2-3 weeks.
How about the high resolution USB? Do we get the get the digital negatives?
You bet. We now include the high resolution USB in all packages. It contains each and every image, fully edited, in high resolution format, with printing rights. In addition, a copy of all images are included in a smaller format, geared perfectly for sharing via Facebook and other social media platforms.
Do I receive print rights with my images?
Absolutely. The high resolution USB entitles you to print and distribution rights.
How many photos do we receive with your packages?
Typically we deliver between 600-900 fully edited images for a 7-8 hour day. All day and multi-day weddings can easily amount to much more.
What other deliverables do I receive?
All our clients receive the same high quality extras. This includes your own online gallery to view all photos. This gallery is password protected and very easy to share with friends and family. Your gallery will also include a slideshow that can be played on a home computer or mobile device. Besides the high resolution USB, you also receive web formatted images that are perfect for email and sharing on Facebook.
How do we order prints, enlargements, and canvas gallery wraps?
The online gallery is also an easy to use ordering service, where you can purchase prints, enlargements, and canvas gallery wraps.
What other type of A La Carte options do you offer?
We offer incredible leather-bound albums. We also offer upgraded deluxe packaging that contains your high resolution USB, complete with printed covers containing a few of your beautiful wedding images.
I want to hire you for my wedding in another state. Do you do destination weddings?
Yes! We love to travel. In the last few years alone we’ve been to Hawaii, Maine, California, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and many other places for photography. Destination weddings are actually much easier to coordinate than one would think. Get in touch to talk more.
Do you shoot in film or in digital?
We use the highest quality digital cameras (22+ megapixels) and equipment currently on the market, ensuring high resolution and top quality images.

Can we meet to review your work, see album options and discuss packages?
Absolutely. The consultation is free and with no obligations. Our goal is to make sure that you are happy with your choices, presented with all the options and have all the information you’ll need to make an informed decision.
What is the advantage of having two photographers shoot my wedding?
One clear advantage of hiring us both means we can be at different locations at the same time. (For example, covering the preparation of the bride and the groom.) More importantly, as professional artists we each see things a little differently; so hiring the two of us means you get two unique perspectives to capture your event. However perhaps the most import element is that we have spent years developing a wonderful chemistry, and have acquired a wealth experience working together, something that is truly unique as wedding photographers. When we work together the result is an incredible photographic illustration of your entire wedding day.

How do we fill out the contract?
Our contract is specifically created to be easily filled out right in Adobe Reader or Acrobat. You can use a digital signature, or print a hard copy to fill out. Other documents such as the Vendor Info PDF can be filled out and sent down the road when you’re ready.
We signed the contract. What’s next?
After signing a contract and putting down a deposit to reserve your date, you’re good to go. If an engagement or other session is part of your package, we’ll plan a time to photograph that. As your wedding day gets closer, we always make sure to talk again 2-3 weeks prior, to ensure all the details are ironed out. Then we’ll meet again on your wedding day. And of course, we are always available to answer any questions you may have, so please don’t hesitate to contact us!
What is your policy on a deposit?
Once we’ve worked together on a package for you, all we need is the filled out contract and a 30% retainer to officially reserve the day for you. We typically prefer payments made with cash, check, or money order.
How about the balance?
The balance is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.
