While in Columbus last weekend to shoot Danielle & Jake’s wedding, I had an opportunity for first row access to U.S. President Barack Obama’s speech. The rally focused on Health Care Reform and the November 2 midterm elections. First Lady Michelle Obama was in appearance along with Gov. Ted Strickland and Sen. John Glenn. The rally of approximately 35,000 comprised the largest crowd that Obama has addressed since his inauguration! Traveling light to the rally with just my 5D Mark II and 135mm f/2 L lens. Here are a few of my favorites.
Lorrie had contacted me a few months ago with an intriguing inquiry – A full blown 80’s bash! This instantly reminded me of a few themed events in college. So before I headed out of town this weekend I had a great time shooting and listening to some classic tunes. The Westin Alexandria is an awesome hotel as well. Here are just a few favorites.
A few night ago I was hired to shoot a large scale ‘Bollywood Hollywood’ themed celebration in central Washington D.C. The event was held at The Hudson. A red carpet, live coverage, interviewers, ‘entertainers’, models, you name it! The night got started rather quickly and before I knew it everyone was having the time of their life. Check out a few of the photos.
Recently over the summer Paul Woo and myself volunteered at an event put on by the Ronald McDonald House. This was their 23rd installment of the annual Golf Classic, which annually raises thousands of dollars. The fundraiser benefits families of hospitalized children staying at the Ronald McDonald House and other programs benefiting children in the community. The turnout was great, and the post-dinner auction was initiated by the one and only, Jim Tressel. Thad Matta was also in attendance.
